RGB Assurance conduct independent professional review to arrive at a judgement on the adequacy of the system / functional safety achieved by the Item Under Consideration (IUC) or its level of compliance based on compliance with relevant standards.
The professional reviews, include the provision of expert advice and the conduct of Independent safety and software assessments, especially in accordance with CENELEC EN 50126/8/9, Yellow Book, IEC 61508 or Def (Aust) 5679.
Research & Development
RGB Assurance has developed and delivered products and systems in the high-integrity systems area. RGB Assurance was one of the first companies in Australia to obtain an "Advance Finding" under Section 28A of the Industry Research and Development Act 1986 with respect to a product to improve safety at railway level crossings.
Our staff have significant hands-on experience in software, signalling and systems development for high-integrity systems.
RGB Assurance provides training to industry in the areas of systems assurance, in particular for system safety management, rail safety and engineering for high-integrity software-intensive systems.
We typically design our courses bespoke for our customers, e.g. we designed and delivered, on multiple occasions, a course on railway system safety. In addition, RGB Assurance often deliver talks and tutorials at the Australian System Safety conference, and at the University of Queensland.
RGB Assurance provides practical expert advice in the area of Human Factors. We specialise in Human Factors planning and assessment, and in the analysis and design of human-machine interfaces.
RGB Assurance has expertise in the analysis of large data sets to identify risk trends. We developed the Australian Rail Risk Model (ARRM), and have applied machine learning, vision processing, and artifical intelligence to assist both industry and government agencies to identify and quantify risk.
